" Honestly
when we ask ourselves which person meant the world to us, we often find
that it wasn’t the ones who laughed with us at parties, or danced with
us at celebrations, or even those who gave us advice or offered
solutions to our problems. More often, we would find that it was those
who shared our pains and touched our wounds with their warm and
non-judgmental hands. I realize that the ones we truly
appreciate are those with whom we can speak fearlessly on any subject
even of our most foolish thoughts, the ones with whom we never have to
weigh our words because we know that she will keep what is worth keeping
and blow the rest away with kindness. I think that this quote says it
best: “The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or
confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who
can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the
reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”
was browsing through Axioo's page where i chanced upon this meaningful post, about friendship. Then i get to ponder for a while, realising truly how wonderful God has been, bestowing me with friends and kins who not only stay during joyful moments, but also through pit of sorrows.
P.S: I love it when my dad agrees to hairdry my hair after a late night shower, makes me feel like a special daughter, blessed child with such an amazing family. I thankyou Lord for this untradeable gift.
